The City of Manchester, Missouri, and the Manchester Veterans Commission are honored to support the 20th anniversary installation of the Flags of Valor. These photos document the work of volunteers who gathered with Gold Star families to carefully pair the dog tags and photos of thousands of service men and women lost since September 11, 2001.
The work product of the volunteers, pairing photos and dog tags, will adorn 7200 American flags installed on Art Hill, in St. Louis, between September 4 to September 13, 2021. Each flag memorializes a hero that has made the ultimate sacrifice.
