A hoarder is a person who accumulates and hides away things they don't need or have no value for, often due to a mental condition. Hoarding disorder is characterized by an ongoing difficulty in parting with possessions, and a gradual accumulation of a large number of items. People with hoarding disorder may experience distress at the thought of getting rid of their items, even if they don't have any actual value.
